Congratulations Sheila Dills

STCH Board Member Sheila Dills ran for a Oklahoma House seat in District 69 when she realized that her children and grandchildren were going to move out of the state for better opportunities. “I want to make Oklahoma a land of opportunity for everyone,” said Sheila. After winning her seat overwhelmingly on November 6, 2018, Sheila has gotten to work on fulfilling this wish. We are proud of Sheila and look forward to watching her work for all of Oklahoma!

New Strategic Plan Adopted

With help from more than 50 community stakeholders and strategic planner Cynthia Stewart, the Board of Directors adopted our new strategic plan at the July 2018 Board meeting. A new mission and vision statement was also adopted. Over the next three years, we expect to grow our capacity and resources so we can better serve our clients and the Riverwood community. We are especially excited about the development of a new nonprofit organization (Riverwood Collaborative) which will focus to improve the community through economic development, marketing, and other growth strategies.

Legal Aid Joins the STCH Team

Thanks to a grant from the Oklahoma Bar Foundation, STCH is now able to provide free legal services to our Riverwood neighbors through its partnership with Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma. Renee Faulkenberry will be housed at STCH and offering civil legal services to the community. Her office hours will match STCH’s public hours (Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm). They can also schedule appointments with Renee at other times.
