Emergency Infant Services (EIS)

Se habla espanol. Emergency Infant Services (EIS) will be serving clients with children from 0 through five years of age at the South Tulsa Community House location every Thursday (except holidays) from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. EIS will have diapers, wipes, and formula at this location.  A picture i.d. is needed for the parent and proof of birth for each child (such as a birth certificate, WIC paperwork, or shot records.)  Call Emergency Infant Services for additional information at 918-582-2469.  Visit EIS web site at:

Legal Aid of Oklahoma

Free legal assistance is available for Riverwood neighbors through an embedded Legal Aid Attorney.  Drop by South Tulsa Community House (Monday – Thursday, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm to meet with or schedule an appointment with the attorney (Renee Faulkenberry).

Tulsa Health Department

Mondays, 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Assistance with WIC, SNAP, TANF, Sooner Care and other benefits applications. Parenting classes and immunization records. Call (918) 595-4473 for more information.

Union Public Schools

Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.: GED classes for those receiving Temporary Aid to Needy Families [TANF]. Contact your DHS caseworker to enroll.  Ask for Mr. Garrison.

Tues and Thurs, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Free Community GED Classes for those aged 16 and older. Open enrollment on any Tuesday or Thursday at 5:00 pm.  Ask for Ms. Ellis.

Mon and Wed, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Free English as a Second Languages [ESL] classes. Open enrollment on any Monday or Wednesday at 1:00 pm.  Ask for Ms. Lauren
